The event also saw the presence of Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior General Sar Sokha and Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security General Vilay Lakhamphong.

In his address, Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized that, in spite of complex challenges, the Cambodian National Police Force has steadfastly fulfilled its core mission over the past eight decades, significantly contributing to safeguarding national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, maintaining political stability, combating transnational and organized crime, protecting the lives and property of the people, and ensuring social order and safety.
The Cambodian Prime Minister noted that the solemn celebration aimed to honor the sacrifices and achievements that generations of Cambodian police officers had made throughout the history of the force.
It also reaffirmed the firm commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia to continuously build and strengthen this key institution to better serve national interests and public welfare.

Addressing the event, General Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Cambodia, expressed sincere appreciation to Minister Luong Tam Quang for attending the anniversary.
He stressed that the presence of distinguished international guests was not only a great honor but also a significant source of encouragement that would inspire the Cambodian National Police Force to continue to successfully fulfill its mission of safeguarding national security and maintaining public order.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual concern and agreed on approaches to further strengthen cooperation between the two police forces, particularly in combating organized and transnational crime, drug and human trafficking and high-tech crimes in the time ahead.
