Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Hun Manet warmly welcomed Minister Luong Tam Quang and the delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to Cambodia.
He highly appreciated the fruitful and growing cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam across various fields, particularly in the areas of security and crime prevention.

The Prime Minister expressed his hope that the police forces of the two countries will continue to strengthen their collaboration, especially in combating organized crime, transnational crime, drug and human trafficking, cybercrime while supporting each other in capacity building and personnel training.
For his part, Minister Luong Tam Quang sincerely thanked Prime Minister Hun Manet for the warm reception and extended his congratulations to Cambodia on its recent achievements in national development and modernization.
He affirmed that Vietnam always attaches great importance to its relationship with Cambodia and is committed to enhancing the comprehensive, reliable and enduring partnership between the two countries for peace, stability and development of the two nations.

Minister Luong Tam Quang also expressed delight at the sustained development of Vietnam–Cambodia relations, noting that key bilateral cooperation mechanisms have been maintained effectively, and that defense and security remain pillars of the two nations’ partnership.
He emphasized that the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security has closely coordinated with the Cambodian Ministry of Interior in safeguarding national security and maintaining social order, in recent years.
Accordingly, the two sides regularly shared criminal information, jointly investigated and handled criminal cases involving citizens of both countries, tracked and apprehended fugitives, and conducted joint campaigns to combat drug and human trafficking, resulting in the dismantling of several major criminal networks.
