Accordingly, the football club will be managed by the Hanoi Municipal Police Department, instead of the Ministry of Public Security, in the upcoming 2023 national professional football season.
Along with the change, the Pho Hien Football Club was renamed the PVF Public Security Football Club, and will play in the Second Vietnam Football League.
While the Hanoi Police Football Club will strive to take a leading position in the 2023 First Vietnam Football League, the PVF Public Security Football Club has set a target of being one of the two football clubs that will play in the First Vietnam Football League in the 2024 season.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang suggested that the Hanoi Municipal Police Department and relevant agencies under the Ministry of Public Security manage the two football clubs, and create favorable conditions for them to play well and achieve the best results.
The Hanoi Municipal Police Department introduced the Board of Directors, the Training Board and the players, as well as the logo and the new season's jersey of the Hanoi Police Football Club.
After the ceremony, there was a friendly match between the Hanoi Police Football Club and the Football Club of the Cambodian Gendarmerie Command.
