The award ceremony was chaired by Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee, and Minister of Public Security General To Lam, on the morning of April 14, and was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

At the ceremony, Commander of the Mobile Police Force Major General Le Ngoc Chau delivered a speech reviewing the 50-year heroic history of the Mobile Police Force.
Later, delegates observed a magnificient parade, martial arts performances and physical exercises, demonstrating the strength of the key revolutionary armed force in the cause of protecting security and order.

With the spirit of "Wholeheartedly serve the country and the people", hundreds of mobile police officers have laid down their lives or been life-long wounded for the cause of protecting national security and ensuring public order and safety. The great contributions, and resilient and silent sacrifices of generations of mobile police officers are always remembered and deeply appreciated by our Party, State, and people.
