MPS opens training course on investigation and handling of traffic accidents
MPS - The Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security opened a training course on investigation and handling of road, rail and waterway traffic accidents for traffic police officers, on November 25th, in Thua Thien Hue.
Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department Major General Nguyen Van Minh attended and delivered a remark at the opening ceremony.
The training course is attended by 158 traffic police officers from police departments of 9 Central and Central Highlands regions.

During the training course, participants will be lectured by experienced officers from the Traffic Police Department, who focus their discussions on 8 specific topics related to the procedures for investigation and handling of traffic accidents.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Minh underlined that the investigation and handling of traffic accidents is one of the basic and important tasks of the Traffic Police Force, requiring in-charge police officers to have good professional expertise as well as a firm grasp of the laws.
The Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department underscored that it is important to reach consensus on a standard procedure for investigation of traffic accidents as the Traffic Police Force can study the origins of traffic accidents and find out measures to minimize traffic accidents based on results of in-place investigations of traffic accidents.

To achieve the training course’s targets, Major General Nguyen Van Minh requested all the trainees to strictly follow all the rules of the training course and strive to grasp the knowledge provided by lecturers.
The Traffic Police Department’s Deputy Director wished that after the training course, all the participants would effectively apply their learned knowledge and skills to their practical work in accordance with the laws, and propose preventive measures to reduce traffic accidents based on their findings through scene investigation.
