New Chief of MPS Office appointed

MPS - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony to announce the Minister of Public Security’s decision to appoint Chief of the MPS Office, on the afternoon of January 20th, in Hanoi.

Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To chaired the ceremony.

The ceremony also saw the presence of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province Nguyen Viet Oanh and representatives from MPS under-ministerial departments.

At the ceremony, a leader of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the decision by the Minister of Public Security to appoint Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan (born in 1978, in Hai Phong City) to take up the new position of Chief of the Office of MPS from January 20th, 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To affirmed that Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan has been recognized by the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the leadership of MPS and the Standing Board of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee as a public security officer with strong political will, excellent moral qualities, comprehensive training, extensive working experience in the grassroots as well as outstanding leadership, management and administrative abilities.

The Deputy Minister stressed that the posting of Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan to the position of Chief of Office of MPS reflected the trust of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership in the officer while the appointment brought pride and honor as well as a heavy responsibility to him.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested the newly appointed Chief of Office of MPS to fully exploit his working experience and professional expertise to perform his new responsibilities, and join the Party Committee and leadership of the MPS Office to cement internal unity and cohesion and direct the functional units under the MPS Office to effectively execute their advisory function in accordance with their assigned tasks and responsibilities.

In his inaugural speech, Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan expressed his deep gratitude to the Public Security Central Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and the Minister of Public Security for their trust and his appointment as Chief of Office of MPS.

The new Chief of Office of MPS wished that he would continue to receive assistance and consideration from MPS leaders, good coordination and cooperation from all officers of the MPS Office as well as support and collaboration from ministries, branches, agencies and units so that the MPS Office can successfully fulfill all its assigned tasks in the coming time.
