Quang Ninh police return lost belonging to foreign athletes

MPS - Vietnamese security officers found and returned lost belongings to the rightful owners, members of the Tunisian delegation participating the 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championship.

The case is reported as follows:

At 2 p.m. on the afternoon of December 6th, after a training session in the indoor sports complex in preparation for the 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championship, Mr. Mohamed Islem and Ms. Aleya Ilef, a coach and an athlete from the Tunisian delegation, left a handbag containing their passports and other personal belongings in the indoor sports complex.

At 5.p.m, Mr. Mohamed Islem and Ms. Aleya Ilef reported the case to the Vietnamese security team on duty at the sports venue.

The security team checked the camera in the indoor sports complex and discovered that the bag had been left in the stands and then picked up by a foreigner.

After that, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Xuan Hiep and Captain Do Thi Hien, who are on duty at the sports venue, contacted the foreigner who had found the bag.

At 5:40 p.m, the police returned the lost items to the two owners.

Getting their handbag back, Mr. Mohamed Islem and Ms. Aleya Ilef sincerely thanked the Quang Ninh police for their enthusiastic and effective support in finding their lost property in a short time.
