Commune-level police officer donates blood to save patient’s life

MPS - Getting information from Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital about patient P.T.T. (residing in Trung Loc, Can Loc) in need of type A blood platelets, the "Living Blood Bank" Club of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police Department urgently mobilized its members to donate blood to save the patient’s life, on February 16, 2024.

According to the doctors, the patient had acute kidney failure, heart failure and thrombocytopenia, needing an urgent transfusion of type A blood.

On knowing the situation, Lieutenant Dinh Quang Khai, a police officer working at the Police Post of Thach Dai commune, Thach Ha district, rushed into the hospital and donated one unit of platelets to patient P.T.T.

Thanks to officer Dinh Quang Khai's timely donation of blood, the doctors and nurses could save the life of the patient.

According to the doctors, the patient has overcome a critical situation and heis gradually recovering. 

Reportedly, officer Khai has been a member of the "Living Blood Bank" Club of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police Department since its inception, and this was the second time he had directly donated blood to save lives. 

The police officer's meaningful gesture has been praised by the patient's family, nurses and doctors.

Since its establishment on August 21, 2018, the "Living Blood Bank" Club of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police Department has increasingly developed, and donated blood to 100 persons in need.
