Traffic police set up "Compassion Stopover" on highway in An Giang helping passers-by

MPS - The Traffic Police Division of the An Giang Provincial Police Department in coordination with the Youth Committee, Women's Committee and Trade Union chapter of the provincial police and My Thanh Ward Youth Union chapter of Long Xuyen city organized a "Compassionate Stopover" on National Highway 91, to support people on their way back home to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Dragon (Tet), on the morning of February 5.

At the stopover, officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police Division, youth union members of the provincial police and local Youth Union members as well as volunteers provided free bottled mineral water, cold towels and food to passing people. 
 
Police officers also checked people’s motorbikes, pump up vehicles’ tires, repair and fill in motorbikes with to ensure safety of people on the way back home.

In addition, the youth of the provincial police force also took the chance to explain the traffic laws to people and installed billboards, posters by the road to raise people’s awareness of when participating in traffic safety during the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, contributing to ensuring traffic order and safety in the province.
 
Through the above meaningful and practical activities, the local police wished that all people who work far away from their homeland could go home safely and happily celebrate Tet with their families while ensuring traffic order and safety on the main road. 
 
Their gestures has beautified the image of the traffic police officer.
