Dong Thap police offer free medical check-ups to residents in border commune

The Dong Thap Provincial Police Department held a social program to offer free medical check-ups, medicines and gifts to disadvantaged people in Thuong Phuoc border commune on December 5, 2025.

On this occasion, the Dong Thap Provincial Police Department also held the “Hearing from the People” Forum.

Public security doctors offer free medical check-ups and medicine to local residents.

During the program, public security doctors provided local residents with general health examinations, ultrasound scans, electrocardiograms, medical counselling and free medicines. 

As many as 350 gift packages containing essential goods were also presented to disadvantaged households in the commune.

At the “Hearing from the People” Forum, after listening to local residents’ opinions on several matters such as traffic safety, social order and crime prevention, Major General Lam Phuoc Nguyen answered the questions in an open, constructive and responsible manner.

He emphasized the crucial role of the people in providing information and supporting the police in effectively combating crime, expressing his hope that local residents would continue to accompany the Public Security Forces in the “All People Protecting National Security” movement, contributing to maintaining security and order in the locality.

This meaningful activity reflects the local police’s commitment to sharing difficulties and encouraging residents to overcome challenges in life, while fostering a sincere, open and direct channel of communication between the police and the community.
