
Ministry of Public Security celebrates Vietnamese Doctors’ Day
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony to celebrate the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955–2026) on the afternoon of February 26 in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the celebration.
The event was attended by medical doctors, physicians and nurses working in the Public Security Forces as well as leaders of relevant agencies under the MPS. Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and several other leaders of the Ministry of Health (MOH) were also invited to the celebration.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, Minister Luong Tam Quang extended his best wishes to the MOH leadership as well to medical professors, medical doctors, medical practitioners and all health workers inside and outside the Public Security Forces.
He expressed his hope that the medical workforce would continue making significant contributions to the cause of protecting, caring for and improving the people’s health.
The Public Security Minister emphasized that, under the sound leadership of the Party, the Public Security Forces and the health sector have proactively strengthened their coordination and effectively supported each other in executing the Party’s breakthrough policies for the people, which has helped the two agencies achieve important work results, making practical contributions to national construction and defense, as well as improving the people’s living standards.
Minister Luong Tam Quang stated that, under the Party’s leadership, the Public Security Forces and the health sector, with their strong determination and spirit of innovation and creativity, will further heighten their coordination to a new level so that they can both attain more achievements at work.
On behalf of all medical doctors and workers nationwide, Minister Dao Hong Lan expressed her sincere appreciation to Minister Luong Tam Quang and the MPS leadership for the warm and meaningful meeting on the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day 2026.
Minister Dao Hong Lan also expressed her hope that the MOH would continue to receive support and strengthened coordination with the MPS so that the health sector can develop robustly in the future, meeting the requirements for its missions of protecting, caring for and improving the people’s health.
