MPS reviews Party building and force building work in first quarter

Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung chaired a meeting, on April 15 in Hanoi, to review the first-quarter work of advisory bodies and units responsible for Party building and force building under the Ministry of Public Security.

According to the summary report presented at the meeting, in the first quarter of 2026, relevant units demonstrated a high sense of responsibility for work, maintaining close coordination, proactively advised the higher-level authorities and seriously implementing their tasks in accordance with the working regulations and the work programs of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security. As a result, the quality and effectiveness of advisory work continued to be strengthened and improved.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed  and evaluated work results of the advisory agencies, pointed out shortcomings and their causes, drew lessons from the reality, and outlined key tasks and solutions for the coming period.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung emphasized that maintaining regular meetings among advisory bodies and units responsible for Party and force building is essential as it could help improve working methods, and make advisory work becomes increasingly systematic, disciplined and effective.

He noted that these efforts contribute to the goal of building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces in line with Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo.

The Deputy Minister also commended the units for completing a large volume of work in the first quarter on schedule and with high quality.

Regarding their key tasks in the time ahead, he requested that advisory units focus on effectively implementing Resolution No. 02 of the Public Security Central Party Committee on strengthening the corps of public security officers in line with the slogan “strong ministerial administration; comprehensive provincial-level units; strong grassroots-level units closely attached to the people,” thereby meeting the requirements for tasks in the new context.

He further stressed the need for advisory units to adopt strategic thinking and vision, as well as proactively advise the Public Security Central Party Committee on innovative approaches to Party building and force building in the coming period.
