Public Security Forces fully prepared to safeguard celebrations of August Revolution and National Day

Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan underscored that the celebrations hold profound political significance as the anniversaries coincide with Party congresses at all local levels in the lead-up to the 14th National Party Congress, and when the nation is entering a new development phase. Therefore, ensuring public order and security during the period of time is a crucial requirement.

The work becomes more important when all celebration events will be organized at the national level, and attended by a large number of domestic and international delegates expected as well as numerous people.

Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan stated that the MPS will apply the highest security protection level to the event.

According to the official, a Security and Order Subcommittee has been established, and headed by Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung with leaders of relevant units and local police departments serving as members.

Firstly, the Subcommittee should employ preventive measures to ensure absolute safety and security, leaving no room for any unexpected incidents, even the smallest one, throughout the celebration period.

Secondly, the Subcommittee should direct public security units in charge to create favorable conditions for international visitors and people to participate in activities in celebration of the upcoming big national anniversaries.

Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan affirmed that the Public Security Forces had been fully prepared for their task of safeguarding major celebration events and large activities to be held throughout August, especially the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
