
Public Security Forces’ role needs to be upheld in new era of national rise
The Public Security Theoretical Council held a national scientific conference themed “Bring into Full Play the Role of the People’s Public Security Forces in the New Era – The Era of Vietnam’s National Rise” on the afternoon of September 30 at the People’s Police Academy in Hanoi.

Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, who is Permanent Vice Chairman of the Public Security Theoretical Council, attended and delivered a keynote speech.
In his opening remarks, Director of the Department of Public Security History, Science and Strategy Lieutenant General Vu Thanh Chuong emphasized that, at this historic point of time when the entire Party, people and armed forces are striving to realize the Party’s strategic guidelines for national development, the Public Security Forces should make a breakthrough in strategic thinking on political security and social order management, upholding their role as a firm foundation for national development.

At the conference, delegates proposed various approaches to further bring into full play the role of the Public Security Forces in the new era.
They underscored that the Public Security Forces should always be put under the Party’s direct, absolute and comprehensive leadership while further streamlining the organizational apparatus for operational effectiveness and efficiency, making an example in applying science, technology and implementing national digital transformation as well as in combating corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena and ensuring social security.
Concluding the conference, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung called for continued renovation in national security strategy to firmly safeguard national security and create favorable conditions for national development.

He stressed, the Public Security Forces promptly advise the Party and State on schemes to address traditional and non-traditional security issues, while avoiding risks of lagging behind in strategic technologies, digital transformation and green transition.
The Deputy Minister also underscored the importance of proactively detecting and removing the legal bottlenecks that hinder socio-economic growth, while maximizing resources for development.
Finally, he suggested expanding and deepening cooperative relations on security and order with international partners and friends as well as actively participating in addressing global issues, thereby contributing to security, safety, and stability in the region and the world in line with the Party and State’s foreign policy.
