Le Duc Anh, born on August 12, 1989, is a Vietnamese national wanted by the Criminal Investigation Police Agency of Bac Giang province (now Bac Ninh province) for charges of illicit trafficking of narcotic substances.
At the request of the Bac Giang (now Bac Ninh) Provincial Police Department, the Office of the Vietnamese Criminal Investigation Authority requested the INTERPOL General Secretariat to issue a Red Notice for Le Duc Anh.
The Office of the Vietnamese Criminal Investigation Authority also requested INTERPOL China and the Liaison Office of the Chinese Police in Hanoi to support the Vietnamese side in locating, arresting and transferring the fugitive to the Vietnamese authorities.
On July 15, 2025, the Liaison Office of the Chinese Police in Hanoi informed the Office of the Vietnamese Criminal Investigation Authority that the Chinese authorities had apprehended Le Duc Anh and agreed to transfer him to Vietnam via the Huu Nghi International Border Gate in Lang Son province.

At 16:30 on July 24, 2025, at the Huu Nghi International Border Guard Station, the Chinese authorities officially handed over Le Duc Anh to representatives of the Office of the Vietnamese Criminal Investigation Authority and the Bac Ninh Provincial Police Department. The wanted will be handled in accordance with the Vietnamese laws.
On the same day, the Bac Ninh Provincial Police Department, in coordination with the Office of the MPS Criminal Investigation Authority, completed procedures to detain Le Duc Anh and initiated judicial proceedings in accordance with Vietnam’s Criminal Code.
The transfer of Le Duc Anh from China to Vietnam was conducted in a completely safe manner, strictly adhered to the laws and diplomatic protocols of the two countries and in line with international treaties and other bilateral agreements between Vietnam and China.
