Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To Assoc. Prof., Dr., attended and delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony.
Delivering his remarks at the ceremony, PSA Director Major General Trinh Ngoc Nguyen Assoc. Prof., Dr., underlined that over the past 55 years, the PSA has completed 55 formal university courses and many other types of university training programs, with a total of 64,874 students.

PSA has also trained nearly 1,700 security officers for the army and the border guard force, as well as more than 1,000 police officers from the Lao Ministry of Public Security.
In recognition of the academy's achievements and feats over more than 78 years since the establishment of the academy as a school, the Party and State has presented PSA with the Ho Chi Minh Order twice, the Gold Star Order, the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces twice, and many other noble awards.

On the occasion of summarizing its 55 years of tertiary education, PSA was honored to receive the third-class Labour Order from the President.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested that PSA should take the exemplary and leading role in implementing resolutions and directives of the Party Central Committee, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on Party building, the building of the Public Security Forces and education and training work, and strive to effectively implement Resolution No. 29 by the Party Central Committee on fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training to meet national industrialization and modernization requirements in the context of the socialist-oriented market economy and international integration, in the time to come.
The Deputy Minister also requested the academy to continue to strongly innovate the content and forms of its education and training so that all of its education and training programs are always modern and close to practical work, as well as can continuously improve learners’ knowledge, skills, qualities and ability to apply the learned knowledge into their practical work while focusing on developing the teaching staff to meet all the task requirements and closely combining education and training with scientific research.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To also stressed that PSA should pay due attention to enhancing the effectiveness and quality of its education and training as well as modernize teaching methods so as to produce a high-quality workforce, contributing to national digital transformation and developing the models of “electronic academy” and “smart academy”.
