The Vietnamese delegation was warmly welcomed by Director of the Champasak Provincial Police Department Major General Soukphachan Silaphet.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged information on the socio-economic situation and matters of security and social order in each province.
They also shared hands-on experiences in safeguarding national security, ensuring social order and safety as well as force building and logistics supply.

In addition, the two sides also discussed approaches to strengthen cooperation in combating crime, particularly drug-related crime.
The two head delegates noted that the Binh Phuoc Provincial Police Department and the Champasak Provincial Police Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the exchange of security and order-related information in 2013, which has been effectively implemented and yielded many positive outcomes over the past years.
On the occasion of the Bunpimay Festival, Senior Colonel Bui Xuan Thang wished good health, well-being, success and happiness to the leadership, officers and staff of the Champasak Provincial Police Department and their families.
The guest expressed his hope that the Champasak Provincial Police Force will continue to achieve outstanding results in ensuring security and order, contributing to the local socio-economic and cultural development.

Expressing his deep thanks to the Binh Phuoc Provincial Police Department for its visit and good wishes on the occasion of the Lao Traditional New Year, Major General Soukphachan Silaphet hoped that the cooperative relationship between the two police departments will continue to flourish in all areas.
The host assured that the Champasak Provincial Police Force will further strengthen its coordination with the Vietnamese counterpart in preventing and combating all types of crime, particularly transnational and drug-related crime.
