Welcoming Mr. Daniel Kritenbrink to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in his new role, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed his confidence that, with his extensive experience and notable accomplishments in his former positions of U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam and Assistant Secretary of State, Mr. Kritenbrink will continue to make important contributions to further promoting the Vietnam–U.S. relationship, which is on the move.

The two officials agreed that, since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries 30 years ago, the Vietnam–U.S. relationship has witnessed various significant developments, especially the elevation of the Vietnam-U.S., relations to a Comprehensive Partnership in 2013 and to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2023, creating a model in international relations.

To further promote economic, trade and investment cooperation commensurate with the growing momentum of the bilateral relations, the host suggested that Mr. Kritenbrink and The Asia Group expand its investment and business activities in Vietnam, as well as serve as a bridge encouraging more U.S. businesses to invest in Vietnam, particularly in high-tech manufacturing and services.

Sincerely thanking Minister Luong Tam Quang for the meeting, Mr. Kritenbrink congratulated Vietnam on its remarkable socio-economic achievements in recent years, noting that many big U.S. corporations are investing and doing business in various fields in Vietnam, making practical contributions to the country’s economic growth.
