People’s Security College I concludes training course for Cambodian officers

MPS - The People’s Security College I solemnly held the graduation ceremony for the regular intermediate-level training course for officers from the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on the morning of June 21 at its Southern facility in Tam Phuoc, Bien Hoa, Dong Nai.


Rector of the People’s Security College I, Major General Dinh Ngoc Hoa Assoc. Prof., Dr., chaired the ceremony.

Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Chan Sorykan, also attended the event.

The training course, which was launched under the framework of the cooperation plan between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia, was designed for 15 Cambodian officers, starting from October 2022.

The three-year program included one year of Vietnamese language learning and two remaining years of professional training.

At the end of the course, 100% of the Cambodian trainees graduated with “Credit” or higher grades, including four who achieved “Excellent” grade.

During the course, the leadership of the college rewarded 36 commendations to Cambodian trainees for their excellent academic records and active participation in extracurricular activities.

The training course has demonstrated a successful model of training cooperation between the two countries. Through the course, the Cambodian trainees have all displayed great effort, strong determination, solidarity, responsibility and dedication to their study.

In her remarks, Major General Dinh Ngoc Hoa encouraged the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their course in Vietnam to effectively serve the people and the country of Cambodia, while acting as a steadfast bridge of friendship between the peoples and law enforcement forces of Vietnam and Cambodia.

On behalf of the graduates, Mr. Soksona expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, the Board of Directors, teaching staff and fellow students at the People’s Security College I, and vowed to continuously strengthen the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two countries’ law enforcement forces and peoples.
