Cyber Security Department announces action plan for remaining months of 2018

MPS - The Department of Cyber Security under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on August 21 organized a meeting to announce a decision of the Minister of Public Security on personnel, review the situations related to cyber security and hi-tech crimes since the beginning of 2018, and announce new action plans for the remaining months of the year.

The ceremony, which was chaired by Major General Nguyen Minh Chinh, Director of Cyber Security Department, saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, and Deputy Minister of Public Security.

Since the beginning of 2018, the protection of cyber security, prevention and fight against hi-tech crimes have faced various challenges. Under the sound leadership of the MPS, the Department has successfully fulfilled all given tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam asked the Cyber Security Department to review, revise and make supplements to its working procedures and regulations; strengthen its internal unity; and train an army of officers with good qualifications and virtues.

He also urged the Department to continue to advise the Party and the State to complete the policies and laws on cyber security, prevention and fight against hi-tech crimes, and  ensure security and safety for information systems of important agencies of the Party, the State as well as prevent and defeat any acts of sabotage conducted by hostile forces on the internet as well as cyber crimes.
