According to reports delivered at the meeting, in 2024, the Department of Construction and Barrack Management effectively implemented all assigned political tasks with a focus on the more important and urgent tasks to meet the requirements of the Public Security Forces for practical operations.

Accordingly, the department focused on providing the necessary equipment and facilities for direct combat police forces, communal-level police forces, as well as police units in key areas and for the ministry's key projects.
Additionally, the Department of Construction and Barrack Management carried out political and ideological education, personnel and organization work as well as emulation movements within the department in a proactive, creative and effective manner, contributing to ideologically orienting all officers and enlistees in thinking and strengthening their trust in the leadership of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Public Security.

Addressing the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang recognized and congratulated the Party Committee, the leadership and all police officers and enlistees of the Department of Construction and Barrack Management on their outstanding achievements in 2024.
The Minister underlined that, in the context of the entire political system undergoing significant reforms and the Public Investment Law recently adopted by the 15th National Assembly at its 8th plenary session, the construction and barrack sector of the Public Security Forces might have both opportunities and strong demands for renovation so as to contribute positively and significantly to modernizing the six public security forces right in 2025 and the Public Security Forces by 2030.

Agreeing with the work orientations for 2025 proposed by the department, Minister Luong Tam Quang also requested that leaders of the department should strongly renovate their mindsets and leadership methods in their management of construction and barracks of the Public Security Forces, as well as closely coordinate with relevant units and agencies to complete the legal framework on the management of construction and barracks by the end of February 2025 with the aim of removing the remaining obstacles and bottlenecks in the current legal documents to facilitate the construction and barracks management in the Public Security Forces in the coming time.
