On the very first days of September 2018, Hanoi will host the World Economic Forum on ASEAN 2018. The Director of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department issued plans, directing all local forces and determining responsibilities and assigning tasks to each agency or unit with the aim of ensuring absolute safety and security in the capital city during the vacation of the National Day as well as successfully protecting various events to be held in Hanoi.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan highlighted that ensuring absolute safety and security in Hanoi on the first days of September is an especially important mission of the city’s police forces. He asked all local police agencies and units to regularly report on the situation as well as to advise local authorities to mobilize people from all walks of life to participate in maintaining political security and social order and safety. He also urged all officers and soldiers to stay alert, well grasp the situations, be flexible in deploying forces and implementing plans, promote the management of all subjects, and resolve all issues at the grassroots levels.
He also assigned the Traffic Police Division, the Criminal Police Division and police stations of all districts and towns to ensure traffic order and safety while mobilizing forces to suppress criminal activities, social problems, to ensure a safe and happy “Independence Day” for all people.
