The event saw the presence of Member of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Van Duoc and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Head of the Sub-committee for Security and Order.
In preparation for the anniversary events, the HCMC Police Department mobilized its maximum forces and resources, and worked closely with relevant agencies to implement plans to ensure security and order throughout the city during the celebration.

As a result, the city’s police effectively maintained political security as well as social order and safety without any unexpected incidents.
The efforts of the HCMC Police Force to ensure public order and security on anniversaries were widely appreciated by residents and international visitors, contributing to enhancing the prestige and image of the Public Security Forces in general and the Ho Chi Minh City Police Force in particular.

The Deputy Minister urged the city’s police force to comprehensively review all assigned tasks and promptly adjust security plans, particularly those to respond to complex security scenarios.
Additionally, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung stressed, the local police should effectively carry out intensive campaigns to suppress crimes, prevent illegal immigration, enhance check and management of residency, and strictly manage weapons and explosives so as to maintain a clean and safe environment for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification.

The Deputy Minister requested the HCMC Police Department to effectively implement their traffic adjustment plans, take measures to guide and control the traffic from afar to prevent congestion that could affect the celebration.
Finally, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung instructed the police department to deploy maximum forces and resources to safeguard key venues as per the approved plans, creating a tightly coordinated, multi-layered and interconnected security posture to ensure absolute safety during the event.
