“Legacy of Memory” political art program takes place in Tay Ninh

MPS - The Public Security Central Party Committee, in coordination with the Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province, organized a political art program titled “Legacy of Memory” on the evening of April 19 at the Heroic Martyrs Memorial Square in Tay Ninh.

The program was part of a series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the 80th founding anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces, and the 20th anniversary of the “All People Protecting National Security” Festival.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, former State President Nguyen Minh Triet, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, along with other current and former leaders of the Party and the State.

Also present were Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, revolutionary veterans, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, individuals with meritorious services, and families of martyrs.

Arranged and directed by Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Dancers’ Association Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, the show masterfully combined performing arts, cinematography, and modern technology.

Participated in by over 500 professional artists, the program was staged in a semi-live format, and was a combination of epic political narrative and outdoor theatrical presentation.

Acts were of different genres, film, music and ballet, enhanced by state-of-the-art visual effects, to deliver a powerful and immersive experience to the audience.

Speaking at the event, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed deep gratitude to the Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, particularly those who used to work at the former South Security Department of the Central Bureau and the Tay Ninh Provincial Security Department during the resistance war against the United States.

The Minister emphasized that the program aimed to honor the significant contributions of the armed forces and the people as well as the Public Security Forces, particularly the Southern Security Force and Northern security officers reinforced to the South Battlefield, during the war for national liberation and reunification.

Minister Luong Tam Quang pledged that all public security officers of the current generation will continuously bringing into full play the heroic traditions of the Public Security Forces fostered by their predecessors, and will steadfastly follow in their footsteps, wholeheartedly serving the nation, protecting the people and safeguarding national security and social order in any circumstances.

He stressed that the Public Security Forces will make every effort to build clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces to meet their task requirements in the new era, thereby contributing to national development and prosperity.

As part of the program, leaders from the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee and the Tay Ninh People’s Committee presented gifts to revolutionary veterans, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces and war veterans working the former South Security Department of the Central Bureau and the Tay Ninh Provincial Security Department, who had made silent yet significant contributions to the great victories of the revolution and to the protection of the nation’s independence and peace.
