The delegation paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, who founded and trained the heroic Public Security Force of Vietnam. Delegates also offered incense to heroic public security martyrs, and all people and soldiers who had fought and sacrificed themselves for the independence and freedom of the country and for peace and happiness of the people.
Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam informed that, in the first 6 months of 2018, the number of criminal cases had reduced by 0.17% compared with the same period last year, while the rate of the resolved criminal cases reached 79.5 % (9.5% higher than the target set by the National Assembly). There appeared various outstanding police officers and soldiers in emulation movements who had braved any difficulties and dangers to complete their given tasks. For their good achievements, over 15 thousands teams and individuals of the Public Security Forces had been honored by the Party, the State and the MPS, and during fights against criminals five police officers were killed and 90 others injured.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam emphasized that, in the complicated security situations in the region and the world, the Public Security Forces committed themselves to staying absolutely loyal to the Party, the State and the people while raising the sense of responsibility, strictly observing the discipline, and striving to overcome all difficulties and challenges and renovate all aspects of their professional works to ensure national security, social order and safety and successfully accomplish all tasks given by the Party, the State and the people.
