MPS hosts meeting with retired senior public security officers

MPS - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) hosted a meeting with retired senior public security officers, on January 14th, in Hanoi. Party General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered a remark at the meeting. General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee, and Minister of Public Security, chaired the meeting.

The meeting saw the presence of various senior officials, including Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Chief of Office of PCC Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA Committee for National Defense and Security Lieutenant General Le Tan Toi; and Vice-Chairman of the PCC's Central Inspection Commission Vu Hong Van.

The meeting was also attended by former leaders of MPS, wives of late leaders of MPS, current leaders of MPS and members of the Public Security Central Party Committee as well as generations of public security generals and senior officers.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang stated that, under the direct and absolute leadership of the Party, along with the close coordination of ministries, branches, sectors and authorities at all levels as well as the support of people, the Public Security Forces have accomplished all work plans and targets set out for 2024 by the 79th National Public Security Conference.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and MPS leaders, Minister Luong Tam Quang sincerely thanked the Party and General Secretary To Lam personally for the concern and care for the Public Security Forces. He also took the chance to hail valuable supports from former leaders of MPS and generations of retired public security general-rank officers.

At the meeting, the Minister also updated the delegates on the achievements of the Public Security Forces in ensuring security and order and building the Public Security Forces in 2024, and outlined the key tasks for 2025 of the forces.

Minister Luong Tam Quang stressed that the Public Security Central Party Committee and MPS leaders hope that all the senior public security officers stay informed about the security and order situation and promptly advise the Party and State on approaches to address security and order issues, while continuously supporting the Public Security Forces to perform their missions of safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety.

On behalf of Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam extended his Tet regards to the delegates and the entire Public Security Forces, wishing them and their families a healthy, happy, and successful New Year of 2025 and Lunar New Year of the Snake.

The General Secretary wished that all retired senior public security officers will continue to make even greater contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of our Party, State, and People as well as the cause of safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety of the Public Security Forces.
