Speaking at the press briefing, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan stated that, in line with Telegram No. 65/CD-TTg on May 15, 2025, and Directive No. 13/CT-TTg on May 17, 2925, issued by the Prime Minister, the Public Security Forces have demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and strong political will, and took synchronous professional measures to dismantle numerous large-scale rings especially involved in smuggling commercial fraud, counterfeit goods and intellectual property rights breach.

These efforts have generated significant breakthroughs in the work, contributing to the protection of citizens’ legitimate rights and interests, the safeguarding of social order and security and the nation’s sustainable development.
During the one-month intensive campaign launched by the Ministry of Public Security following the Prime Minister’s directive, police units nationwide initiated criminal proceedings against 124 cases involving 297 individuals, and imposed administrative penalties in 944 cases involving 968 individuals.
Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan stressed that the increasing number of detected cases and the constantly changing, more sophisticated methods and tactics employed by offenders also indicate that there should be a long-term effort to prevent and combat such crimes, and that law enforcement forces as the frontline forces and the entire political system and the entire society as support forces should be persistent on this front.
