MPS - Major General Tran Quoc Trung, Vice Director of the Traffic Police Department, and Member of the Sub-committee for Security and Health of the World Economic Forum on ASEAN 2018 (WEF ASEAN 2018) on August 30 worked with relevant units to discuss plans to ensure traffic order and safety, and convoy delegations during the WEF ASEAN 2018, to be held from September 11 to 13 in Hanoi.

The WEF ASEAN 2018 is the largest multilateral event in Vietnam in 2018, that will be held at the National Convention Center of Hanoi from September 11 to 13, with the participation of about 1,000 senior leaders and delegates from countries in the region, as well as major international organizations and leading corporations. They will attend nearly 60 discussions.

An overview of the working session.

Dozens of plans have been built by the traffic police force to ensure traffic safety for delegations participating in forums. The Traffic Police Department has set up Task Groups to directly guide the Traffic Police Division of Hanoi to implement the operational plans and position forces to regulate traffic flows, prevent traffic jams, and ensure absolute safety for the participating delegations. The local traffic police also scrutinized vehicles and drivers serving the WEF ASEAN 2018.

The Traffic Police Department also coordinated with relevant units to tighten security checks and prevent all activities and plots to make disturbances. The traffic police force has been determined to make a good impression on international delegates to WEF ASEAN 2018.
