At the press conference, Presidential Office’s Vice Chairman Pham Thanh Ha announced the President’s mandates to make public the new laws passed by the 15th National Assembly, namely the Law on Data, the amended Law on Human Trafficking Prevention and Control and the Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue.
Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ngoc Lam presented basic contents of the three new laws drafted by MPS.
Accordingly, the amended Law on Human Trafficking Prevention and Control includes 8 chapters with 63 articles, regulating prevention, detection, and handling of offenses related to trafficking in persons, the procedures for verification, identification and reception of victims as well as support and protection of victims of human trafficking.
It also specifies the responsibilities of competent agencies in charge of State management of human trafficking prevention and control, the roles and responsibility of government agencies, organizations, families and individuals in prevention and combat of human trafficking, as well as regulations on enhancing international cooperation in preventing and combating human trafficking.

The Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Law consists of eight chapters with 55 articles, defining the rights and responsibilities of State agencies, organizations, households and individuals in fire prevention and firefighting,
The Data Law includes 5 chapters with 46 articles, defining digital data, as well as regulating the building, development, protection, management, processing and use of digital data.
It also regulates the management, operation and exploitation of the national data center, the national general database, digital data products and services, as well as defines the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of agencies, organizations, and individuals involved in digital data activities.
All the three new laws will come into force on July 1st, 2025.
