Lao Cai police work around the clock to search for missing foreign tourist

MPS - On November 5th, after a night urgently searching for a foreign tourist who had got lost in the Hoang Lien National Park, Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province, the Sa Pa Town Police Station in coordination with the staff of the Hoang Lien National Park successfully found Bryan Hanselman and brought him to a safe place.


Earlier, on the evening of November 4th, the Sa Pa Town Police Station received a report from Ms. Seriana Maria Lerch, born in 1997, Swiss nationality, saying that her boyfriend, Mr. Bryan Hanselman, Swiss nationality, had got lost while hiking in the Hoang Lien National Park, Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province.

The Sa Pa Town Police Station immediately sent its police officers to the Hoang Lien National Park to coordinate with local rescue forces to search for the missing foreigner.

A rescue team of 25 people urgently searched for the missing along the route from the Cat Cat stream to the Hoang Lien National Park.
 

Rescue team successfully finds missing foreigner.  


At around 1a.m. on November 5th, after more than 3 hours of searching through the forest, the rescue team found the tourist in a state of hypothermia and panic.

At 4:00 a.m. on November 5th, the rescue team took Mr. Brian Hanselman to the nearest police station to recover his health.

The tourist told that he had got lost while touring in the Hoang Lien National Park.

Later, Mr. Bryan Hanselman wrote a letter to the Sa Pa Town Police Station, expressing his sincere thanks and good sentiments towards the local police.
