The ceremony saw the presence of Deputy Chief of the Office of MPS Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Permanent Vice-Chairwoman of the Son La Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Thi Luong Tam, and Deputy Director of the Son La Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Dinh Cong Thanh.

During the floods and landslides occurring from July 25th to 27th in Son La city, the house of Mr. Leo Van Hom in San village, Hua La commune, was half-buried by earth and rock.
Because their house was irreparable and the family had no other land in San village to build a new house, the local authorities have resettled the family in a safe place in Ten Co Pit area, Ne To village, Hua La commune.

The construction of their new house began on October 21st with the support of the Son La police force and the local authority, and was completed on November 22nd, 2024.
The new house costs a total of 105 million VND, including 50 million funded by MPS and 30 million by the Son La City People’s Committee.
At the ceremony, Deputy Chief of the MPS Office Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Nguyen presented gifts of Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang to the family of Mr. Le Van Hom.

The Deputy Chief of the MPS Office wished that the family, with their new house, would strive to overcome their difficulties, develop their economy, and actively contribute to the “All people protecting national security” movement in the locality.
