PPA’s Deputy Director Major General Tran Quang Huyen Assoc. Prof., Dr., chaired the opening ceremony.
In his opening remarks, Major General Tran Quang Huyen emphasized that Da Lat city, Lam Dong province, has been selected as a model of the program, and the academy will then cooperate with authorities of localities to replicate the “Becoming a Public Security Officer” Summer Camp model across the country to bring the meaningful activity to more children nationwide.
The Deputy Director acknowledged the tireless efforts of the organizing units that had successfully organized the model of the “Public Security Semester” program, saying that it had helped enhance the academy’s prestige and reputation.
He also expressed sincere thanks to the sponsors who had supported the 2025 “Becoming a Public Security Officer” program.

Major General Tran Quang Huyen expressed his belief that the young “cadets” will enjoy exciting experiences, gain valuable knowledge and overcome personal difficulties to successfully complete all assigned activities, during the one-week camp.
He requested that the organizing units ensure absolute safety for all participants during the camp program time, emphasizing that the program should improve participating children’s awareness of discipline, and equip them with essential life skills.
He also stressed that the camp’s content and format should fully comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Public Security while bringing about professional, effective and practical outcomes.
According to the program, participating children will engage in various classes themed: traffic safety, public space safety, Internet safety, fire and explosion prevention, prevention of child abuse and abduction, drowning prevention and anti-drug education in schools.
