Police enlistee donates platelets to save lives

MPS - Receiving a request from the Department of Hematology and Blood Transfusion at Khanh Hoa General Hospital at midnight, an enlistee from the local police unit urgently went to the hospital to donate platelets to save a patient with multiple injuries.


At 0:10' on December 1, the Emergency Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital received a patient named N.T.L. with multiple injuries, including traumatic brain injury. 

The emergency team decided to transfuse platelets to patients as the patient was in a state of severe thrombocytopenia.

Before that emergency situation, the Department of Hematology and Blood Transfusion contacted the "Live Blood Bank" with members from the Mobile Police Division of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department.

Private First Class Khong Minh Kien Quoc from the Guard Police Company voluntarily rushed into the hospital to donate an amount of platelet to the patient, contributing to saving the livfe of the patient. 

Thanks to the effort of the doctors and blood donation of the police enlistee, patient N.T.L (born in 1979, residing in Cam Duc town, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province) is now recovering.
