Tien Giang police launch dissemination on anti-drug and school violence
MPS - The Go Cong Dong District Police Station under the Tien Giang Provincial Police Department in coordination with the Vo Van Chinh Secondary School and the Phuoc Trung Primary School conducted a legal education program for local teachers and students on anti-drug and school violence, on December 1st, 2024.
At the program, police officers informed local teachers and students on the situation of drug crime evils as well as harmful effects of drugs, instructed them on how to recognize drugs, and equipped them with sufficient knowledge and skills to prevent and fight against drug crime and evils, contributing to developing a healthy and safe school environment.
The legal education was within the framework of the coordination program between the Go Cong Dong District Police Station and the Education and Training Division of Go Cong Dong District on promoting anti-drug dissemination in schools for the 2024-2030 period.

In addition, local police officers also updated the students on the current school violence situation across the country, clarified the causes and harmful effects of school violence, explained the laws and regulations on handling school violence, and gave them approaches to prevent school violence in schools.
The students are also taught some skills to manage emotions when disagreements arise at school, resolve individual conflicts peacefully, and handle school violence occurrences.
The activity is of great significance as it raises teachers’ and students’ awareness of preventing drugs and school violence, while helping them avoid violent behaviors and have skills to resolve disagreements in the school environment.
