According to a representative of the Youth Union Chapter of the Mobile Police Regiment, young officers of the unit in coordination with other youth organizations and voluntary groups called for donation of 1,000 gifts, including lanterns, traditional full-moon festival toys, moon cakes as well as money to present to child-patients treated at the hospital.
From September 8 to 24, the charitable mission also visits and presents gifts to children living in various pagodas in Hanoi.
These charitable activities of young officers of the Hanoi Municipal Police were so significant and seen as a source of encouragement for sick children in the buildup to the Mid-Autumn Festival, the traditional festival for children.
