An Quang Huu is a remote commune of Tra Cu, with 11 villages, home to 12,000 residents. 46% of the population are of the Khmer, and most of the population live on farming. In recent years, thanks to the innovation policy of the local Party committee and authority, the living standard of the people has been improved significantly. However, local geographical difficulties still bar socio-economic development of the commune as well as transportation and trade.
The youths of the Tra Vinh Police and the local people joined hands to upgrade a 300-metter road after the first 2 days, facilitating transportation of local people. The road upgrading was funded by donors via the Provincial Police.
In addition to building and upgrading roads in rural communes, youths of the Provincial Police also participated in building playgrounds for children, and disseminated the laws to people who committed crimes.
