Youths of Vinh Long Police support local people

MPS - The Youth Union Chapter of the Vinh Long Provincial Police recently coordinated with Cho Ray Hospital and Coopmart Vinh Long to offer free health check-ups and medicines to residents of Tich Thien commune, Tra On district.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Police cut the ribbon to inaugurate the newly road funded and built by youths of the provincial police.

The charitable mission offered free health check-ups and medicines to some 400 policy and needy households; visited and presented gifts to policy households, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in TichThien commune. Additionally, they also managed to issue ID cards to local residents; gave out leaflets on environmental protection, drug prevention and combat, and traffic safety as well as inaugurated a 200-metter road, worth some VND 100 million, built by youths of the Vinh Long Police.

This program, which demonstrated the youths’ vanguard and voluntary spirit and responsibility for the community, was part of their activities to mark the 71st Martyrs and War Invalids’ Day.
