Building Phu Quoc Special Administrative Region into model unit of security, order and urban civilization

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung attended and delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony.

At the event, Director of the An Giang Provincial Police Department Major General Nguyen Van Han stated that following the directives of the Party Central Committee on building Phu Quoc into a model unit of security, order and urban civilization, the An Giang Provincial Party Committee issued a resolution and the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee drafted a project to build Phu Quoc Special Administrative Region into a model unit of security, order and urban civilization.

As the standing agency, the An Giang Provincial Police Department will strive to play its role in advising the provincial leadership to direct local agencies, units and the Special Administrative Region to actively join efforts in the implementation of the projecthe affirmed.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung emphasized that the meeting reflected the strong political determination of the local authorities to mobilize all local armed forces, agencies, organizations, enterprises and citizens, with the goal of harnessing the synergy of the entire political system and the whole population to successfully build Phu Quoc Special Administrative Region into a model unit of security, order and urban civilization.

To achieve the objectives of the project, the Deputy Minister requested the Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee of An Giang province to closely coordinate with the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security in directing the implementation of the project. 

He also stressed that all local agencies, sectors and mass organizations should join the An Giang Provincial Police Department, the Phu Quoc Special Administrative Region Police Station and the local people to implement tasks of the project.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung expressed his hope that the people of Phu Quoc will continue to uphold their patriotic tradition and the spirit of great national solidarity, accompany local authorities and armed forces to reach the goal of building Phu Quoc Special Administrative Region into a model unit of security, order and urban civilization.
