Cao Bang police assist Belgian tourist in recovering lost belongings

At around 4:30 p.m. on December 10, 2025, the Vinh Quy Communal Police Station under the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department received a report from Mr. Bogdan Ibragimovitch Galaev (born 1993, Belgian national) on the loss of his backpack.
He had by chance lost his backpack containing personal identification documents and several valuables, while he was travelling to Ba Quang grass hill in Vinh Quy Commune.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Vinh Quy Communal Police Station deployed officers to search for the backpack in Nam Ly hamlet, where Mr. Galaev believed he had left it.
However, the police team was unable to locate the item as the team had to search in a large area at night.
At 8:00 a.m. the following day, the search team got a report from the Immigration Management Division of the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department saying that a local resident had found the backpack and handed it over to the Doc Lap Communal Police Station.
The Vinh Quy Communal Police Station promptly coordinated with the Doc Lap Communal Police Station to verify the backpack, and guided Mr. Galaev to the station to reclaim all of his belongings.
Upon receiving his lost items, Mr. Bogdan Ibragimovitch Galaev expressed deep gratitude to the police officers of both Vinh Quy and Doc Lap communes for their timely and dedicated assistance.
The commendable action once again highlights the high sense of responsibility demonstrated by commune-level police units, contributing to promoting a positive image of Cao Bang and its tourism sector in the eyes of international visitors.
