Deputy Minister Pham The Tung reviews security and order protection for 14th National Party Congress

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Head of the Security and Order Subcommittee, chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, representatives of under-ministerial public security departments and the Hanoi City Police Department reported to the Deputy Minister on the deployment of security measures to protect the 14th National Party Congress in accordance with the approved plans.

After listening to opinions and proposals from delegates, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung highly appreciated and commended relevant public security units and agencies for their very detailed security protection plans, saying that they are suitable for the characteristics and situation of each venue.

As the opening session of the 14th National Party Congress will open in five days’ time, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested that leaders of all relevant public security units and agencies should ensure their subordinates’  thorough comprehension of the mission of protecting absolute safety and security of the 14th National Party Congress so as to strictly abide by and effectively implement the working principles: deploying the highest and strongest level of measures to ensure absolute security and safety for the Congress, leaving no room for even the smallest lapse, while creating the most favorable conditions for the work of organizing the congress and related activities, thereby beautifying the image of the Public Security Forces while performing duties of security and order protection.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung also requested the Traffic Police Department to coordinate with the Hanoi City Police Department to perfect the traffic plans to escort delegates to the 14th National Party Congress, so as to ensure order and safety of all routes for the delegates while minimizing impacts on the normal transportation of the people during this period.

Finally, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested heads of public security units and agencies to encourage all officers and enlistees participating in protecting the 14th National Party Congress to uphold a strong sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties and successfully fulfill their assigned tasks.
