At around 10:15 a.m. on November 10, the Tan Thanh Ward Police Station received a request from Mr. Bui Hoang Tung (48, French citizen), who sought their help to find his paternal aunt, Ms. Duong Nga. According to him, the family had continually searched for her over the years without success.
With their strong sense of responsibility, the local police cross-checked the available information in the National Population Database, and at the same time conducted on-site checks in the area to identify any individual matching the provided information.
With the results of their checks, police officers identified a woman that might have been Mr. Tung’s missing aunt.
By 11:30 a.m. the same day, local police took Mr. Tung to Ms. Nga’s residence. At the meeting, he recognized his aunt, who his family had lost contact for 12 years.
Deeply moved by the professionalism and dedication of the Tan Thanh Ward Police Station, Mr. Tung later sent a letter of thanks to the local police, expressing his gratitude to them for their great service.
