Human Trafficking and Gender-Based Violence Prevention Exhibition opens in Khanh Hoa

The Department of Political Affairs and the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department co-hosted an exhibition themed “Legal Dissemination on Preventing Human Trafficking and Gender-Based Violence” on the afternoon of November 13 in Khanh Hoa province.

The event saw the presence of Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs Major General Nguyen Cong Bay and Deputy Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Nguyen Quan.

The exhibition features more than 150 photographs illustrating the current situation of human trafficking and gender-based violence in Vietnam; the efforts and contributions of ministries, sectors and local authorities in combating the crime and violations; and the rescue, protection and support provided to victims.

Within the framework of the exhibition, audiences can also participate in communication activities focused on disseminating the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking. 

These activities aim to raise the public awareness of methods and tactics used by human trafficking criminals, highlight the police force’s results in handling human trafficking cases, expose the exploitative nature of human trafficking networks and give warnings to groups most vulnerable to this type of crime.

Audiences are also introduced to common fraud schemes currently used by offenders as well as effective preventive measures to criminals’ tactics.

The exhibition helped foster a sense of social responsibility, encouraging citizens to support law enforcement agencies in detecting and reporting crime, thereby contributing to building a safe, healthy and humane living environment.
