
Hundreds of students participate in fire and rescue training in An Giang
The Fire and Rescue Police Division under the An Giang Provincial Police Department recently organized a program to provide fire safety knowledge and rescue skills to more than 500 teachers and students of Long Xuyen High School.

At the event, officers from the Fire and Rescue Police Division provided participants with information on recent fire and explosion incidents in An Giang province and in the country as a whole.
They also explained legal knowledge and safety measures to prevent fire, as well as the importance of complying with fire prevention regulations and firefighting procedures.

Fire police officers also pointed out potential risks of fire and explosion in schools, workplaces or during the use of mobile phones connected to the power system.
Professional firefighters equipped students with basic fire prevention skills to fight fire in schools, residences and residential areas, as well as fire escape skills.
They also introduced a range of modern firefighting and rescue equipment used by the Fire and Rescue Police Force.

Finally, teachers and students had chance to practice using fire extinguishers to put out gas fires, holding water hoses to extinguish flames, and escaping dangerous areas with the use of controlled rope.
The program equipped participants with essential knowledge about fire prevention and rescue as well as skills to fight fire, skills to escape fire, and gave them an insight into modern fire equipment and machinery.
It also encouraged teachers and students to spread their acquired knowledge of fire safety and skills to escape fire and explosion in their families and communities, thereby contributing to a safer and more fire-resilient environment in An Giang province.
