
MPS introduces “The Public Security Forces Stand are always in place where people are in need” book
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day and the 80th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), in coordination with the Truth National Political Publishing House, held a ceremony to release the book “The Public Security Forces Stand are always in place where people are in need,” on the morning of August 15, in Hanoi.

Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To and Director – Editor-in-Chief of the Truth National Political Publishing House Vu Trong Lam co-chaired the meeting.

The book comprises two parts, namely “The Public Security Forces originate from the people and always follow the motto “Whenever people are in need, the Public Security Forces are always in place where people are in need,”” and “Images depict the affection of the people for Public Security Forces”.
With nearly 300 pages, the book offers a rich collection of real-life stories, documents and moving images reflecting the silent yet immense contributions of the Public Security Forces throughout the history of the revolution, especially during peacetime.

The Public Security Forces, including the officers work in remote and isolated areas and the ones join the common efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters, all are vividly portrayed as courageous and dedicated public servants who always assist the people in need, in the book.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Trong Lam revealed that the book, compiled on the basis of diverse sources of documents and images, truthfully reflects the important contributions, great sacrifices, revolutionary heroism of the Public Security Forces as well as the close bonds between the forces and the people.
The book also serves as an important reference for public security officers to study and research, as well as helps guide through to the effective implementation of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on safeguarding national security, maintaining social order and safety, and building the Public Security Forces in the coming time, he added.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested that Party committees and leaders of public security units and agencies should promote the dissemination of the book’s content and significance among officers, enlistees, and the public, while closely associating this effort with studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle as well as with the movement “Building the image of public security officers who are courageous, humane and devoted to the people”.
He stressed that each public security officer or enlistee should draw inspiration from the stories and examples in the book to foster their training and self-improvement while always staying close to the people and wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the people, contributing to building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces to meet their task requirements in the new situation.
