
MPS reviews public security works in July
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting to review its task performance in July and roll out its work plan for August, on the afternoon of August 6, in Hanoi.

The meeting also aimed to review the one-month operation of the two-tier local police system in the newly-established communes and provinces.
Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the meeting.
The event was attended by Deputy Ministers of Public Security, namely Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam and Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc.
As the entire country embarked on a new two-tier local government model from July 1, the Public Security Forces continued to their vital, reliable role entrusted by the Party, State, and the people in maintaining public order and security across the country amid the big change.
The Public Security Forces not only maintained the momentum of their work without any interruption, but also actively supported the political system in running the new model so as to provide best services to the people.
Under the chair of Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, delegates comprehensively evaluated work results of the Public Security Forces as well as pointed out difficulties after the first month of implementing their tasks in the new local-police organizational model based on the new administrative boundaries of communes, provinces and Centrally-run cities.

Delegates also discussed approaches to remove obstacles, and outlined key tasks and work directions for August and the following months.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry’s leadership, Minister Luong Tam Quang praised the entire Public Security Forces for their good work results in July 2025.
Regarding key tasks for August and the near future, Minister Luong Tam Quang requested that public security units and agencies at all levels should mobilize maximum efforts to ensure absolute safety and security during the activities in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), and successfully organize commemorative events for the 80th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces and the 20th “All People Protecting National Security” Festival in a solemn and meaningful manner.
He also suggested that public security units and agencies nationwide launch intensive campaigns to combat all types of crime to effectively control crime and maintain security and social order in localities.
In addition, the Minister requested provincial and communal police units to quickly complete their organization and personnel arrangements, as well as allocate sufficient equipment to communal police stations.
