Press conference provides information on 8th Congress of Public Security Central Party Organization

The Public Security Central Party Committee held a press conference on the afternoon of September 30 in Hanoi to provide the press and media with information on the 8th Congress of the Public Security Central Party Organization for the 2025–2030 tenure.

Member of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Chief of the Office of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan chaired the event.

Speaking at the press conference, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan emphasized that the 8th Congress is taking place at a particularly significant time, as the nation is in the doorway to a new era of development.

With the motto “Solidarity, Democracy, Discipline, Responsibility, Breakthrough and Effectiveness”, the Congress aims to bring into full play the Public Security Central Party Committee to further uphold the 80-year tradition of the heroic People’s Public Security Forces, while leading the forces to firmly safeguard national security, maintain social order so as to contribute most to national development as well as to building a prosperous and strong nation, a goal for the centennial celebrations of the Party and the State.

The Congress is scheduled to take place in Hanoi over three days, from the afternoon of October 3 to October 5, 2025.

The preparatory session is scheduled for October 3, while official sessions will take place on October 4 and 5, with the closing session on the afternoon of October 5. 

The Congress is themed “Following Uncle Ho’s teachings – Renewing mindset – Improving knowledge – Aiming at Regularity and Modernity – Wholeheartedly serving the Party, the People.”

During the press conference, the Organizing Committee also answered questions about the Congress and activities of the Public Security Forces.
