Quang Ninh police help foreigner recover made-in-error bank transfer
Recently, the Phong Coc Ward Police Station under the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Department received a letter of appreciation from Mr. Ma Shugang (born 1973), a Chinese national residing in Bai Chay Ward, Quang Ninh, thanking the police for their dedicated assistance in helping him recover a bank transfer made in error.

Earlier, on December 16, while making a transaction via a banking application, Mr. Ma Shugang mistakenly transferred 23 million VND to a Vietcombank account registered under the name H.T.X. Upon realizing the mistake, he promptly reported the incident to the Phong Coc Ward Police Station.
After receiving the report, police officers quickly clarified related information, coordinated with Vietcombank to find the one who had gotten the sum by chance. The account holder was Ms. H.T.X. residing in Phong Coc Ward. The police contacted and guided her through the procedures for the return of the sum to Mr. Ma Shugang.
Getting back the full sum, Mr. Ma Shugang expressed his sincere gratitude and sent a letter of thanks to the Phong Coc Ward Police Station, praising the officers’ prompt, professional and responsible support.
