
Quang Tri police help Lao tourist recover lost belongings
At around 6:00 p.m. on January 2, the Cam Lo Communal Police Station received a report from Mr. Bounna Phanthavilay (born in 1986, residing in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic) that he had accidentally lost his personal belongings while traveling along National Highway 9.

After receiving the report, the Cam Lo Communal Police Station promptly assigned some police officers to search for the lost property along the way. They went to the locations where the Lao tourist had stopped and asked related individuals about the lost property.
After over one hour of intensive search, the police successfully recovered the Lao tourist’s lost belongings, including cash worth around VND 86 million and his identity documents.
The items were then returned to Mr. Bounna Phanthavilay in accordance with regulations.
The police officers of the Cam Lo Communal Police Station with their high sense of responsibility and spirit of dedication has helped the Lao tourist continue his trip with happiness. This also has promoted the image of Cam Lo as a safe, friendly and hospitable destination.
Moved by the Vietnamese police’s timely assistance, Mr. Bounna Phanthavilay later sent a letter of appreciation to the Cam Lo Communal Police Station, expressing his sincere gratitude and strong positive impression on the country, the people and the Vietnamese Public Security Forces.
