
Tran Quoc Hoan – a loyal communist and a talented leader of the revolutionary cause
The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA), the Central Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee co-held a scientific conference themed “Tran Quoc Hoan – a loyal communist and a talented leader of the Party and the revolutionary cause of Vietnam,” on the afternoon of January 15, in Hanoi.

The conference was co-chaired by Member of the Politburo, Director of the HCMA and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang; Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang; Member of the Secretariat and Head of the Central Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilization General Trinh Van Quyet; and Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Khac Than.
Delivering the opening remarks, Head of the Central Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilization Trinh Van Quyet stated that the conference took place on the occasion of the 110th birthday of former Politburo Member, former Minister of Public Security and former Head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization Tran Quoc Hoan —a distinguished leader of the Party, who devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the nation and left profound imprints on the history of the Party and the revolutionary cause of Vietnam.
In his introductory address, HCMA Director Nguyen Xuan Thang affirmed that comrade Tran Quoc Hoan was a prominent, steadfast and talented leader of the Party and the revolutionary cause.
The HCMA Director highlighted that having been a member of the Party Central Committee for more than 30 years and a member of the Politburo for over 20, comrade Tran Quoc Hoan had devoted his whole heart and mind to the revolutionary cause. During his career, together with the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Party Central Committee, he had led the entire nation in thestruggles for national liberation and national reunification and the building of socialism in Vietnam.
During the conference, delegates presented numerous reports that gave a deep insight into Tran Quoc Hoan’s life, career and great contributions, and reaffirmed and honored his noble values and exemplary image of a steadfast communist and a talented leader of the Party and the revolutionary cause.
Concluding the conference, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that late Minister Tran Quoc Hoan was a leader who had laid the groundwork for the building of the Public Security Forces capable of excellently fulfilling all assigned tasks.
Under his leadership, the Public Security Forces developed steadily and became stronger in all aspects, earned the love and support of the people. The then Public Security Forces also overcame numerous hardships and challenges, and contributed significantly to the historic exploits of the Vietnamese nation in the 20th century, laying a solid foundation for the country to confidently advance in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new era.
