Member of the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung attended and delivered a keynote speech at the congress.
During the 2020–2025 term, closely following the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress, the 7th Congress of the Public Security Central Party Committee and its own 1st Party Congress, the Party Committee of the Department of Economic Security upheld its proud traditions, maintained internal unity, overcame difficulties and made concerted efforts to successfully fulfill its assigned objectives and tasks, making significant contributions to the proud and heroic tradition of the Public Security Forces.

At the congress, delegates participated in in-depth discussions and approved the goals and key tasks for the next term.
They also gave comments on the draft documents to be submitted to the upcoming 14th National Party Congress and the 8th Congress of the Public Security Central Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term.

The congress elected a new 15-member Executive Committee of the Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term and selected a delegation to attend the 8th Congress of the Public Security Central Party Committee.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung congratulated and commended the Party Committee of the Department of Economic Security for its efforts, determination and achievements over the past term.

Underscoring that the Department of Economic Security is a core force in safeguarding national economic security and protecting the Party’s economic development guidelines and the State’s policies on building a socialist-oriented market economy, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested that the Party Committee continue to play a pioneering and exemplary role in implementing the Party’s strategic directives.
In particular, it should fully and effectively implement the Politburo’s “Four Pillars” strategic resolutions, while ensuring economic security throughout the process of socio-economic development.

The Deputy Minister also emphasized that the Department of Economic Security should renew their thinking, leadership style and management methods as well as craft a substantive, strategic and target-based working roadmap so as to early detect and neutralize any potential risks, contributing to creating a secure, stable and favorable environment for national development.
Finally, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung required it to enhance its strategic advisory capacity on economic security domain and strictly observe the laws during the implementation of socio-economic development policies.
